"Part of you is eager, ready for anything in God; but another part is as lazy as an old dog sleeping by the fire" Mark 14:38 (MSG) These words, said by Jesus to Peter, when he should have been awake and praying, but was in fact asleep - they could be said of me this summer. I love the summer, the carefree nature, the sunshine, all the family being together, the stopping of all the routines and evening meetings and schedules. Lots of books were read, walks were taken and memories were made. But there are challenges for me in the slowing down, because I don't get so much done ! Of course, the minute I really think this one through, I realise I am being productive in some really meaningful ways - stopping and slowing down is good for my soul. I like to spend more time at home and with my family. I barely think of a To-Do List, let alone write one aiming to complete it!
