Telling Your Story helps others find salvation in Jesus.
The Disciples asked Jesus why He taught in parables (told stories)
“When they were off by themselves, those who were close to him, along with the Twelve, asked about the stories. He told them, "You've been given insight into God's kingdom—you know how it works. But to those who can't see it yet, everything comes in stories, creating readiness, nudging them toward receptive insight." Mark 4:10-12
I love that phrase!
It's God who saves, but we can play our part in telling our stories - giving God the glory for what He has done and is doing in our lives. Remember the story of the woman at the well, who had a conversation with Jesus?
“Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. And because of his words, many more became believers. They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Saviour of the world”
